I have 2 medium-sized (fixed) male chihuahuas and had pretty much just given up on a pee-free home. I ordered 2 different sizes from 2 different companies and will leave this review on both. Pay attention to the measurements in the descriptions to get the right size, each company has different numbers for the sizes and some fit larger or smaller than you expect so plan accordingly if you have a dog between sizes (the reason I used 2 different companies)That being said… One of my dogs did not even seem to notice the diaper, the other one acted like his legs were broken for at least a month. This has nothing to do with the company and everything to do with my dog… keep at it, they will get used to it.We also used enzyme cleaner and a black light and cleaned EVERYTHING the day we got the diapers. I assumed that they would just pee in the diapers and I would eventually have to start buying pads to go inside them…. but in the couple of months that we have had them, only once have they peed in them at all and that was because our son forgot to take them off when he walked them. So, yes, they can pee freely in them, yes they did hold one full bladder of pee without leaking or needing an added pad. Not sure exactly which thing made them stop peeing in the house but I’m glad to have these just in case!
