Good spatula and turner. It’s only slightly magnetic. so slight that a magnetic block or cutlery holder won’t secure it.Great quality for the price point. It has some flex to it, yet sturdy enough to lift burgers, steaks, fish, squash and other vegetable, casserole, omelets, enchiladas, quesadilla, and such such things that require a long blade for lifting or turning. It’s not sturdy enough for a good smash, except maybe at the heel of the blade. The handle is only about 4.5 inches, which may be a bit small in relation to the blade length and width. Some people may find this small handle awkward. However, those with smaller hands may find it easier to wield in the kitchen or at the grill.I prefer Dexter-Russell with their ferritic carbon steel for this type of thing. I picked this up as an inexpensive second spatula, and I was curious about it’s flex and magnetism. It is stainless steel, but it’s not magnetic ferritic-martensitic stainless steel. It has high nickel content and thus very low magnetism, i.e. it is austenitic stainless. Still a nice implement, if one can accept low magnetism and high nickel content. It will likely pit and corrode if washed in a dishwasher, so use mild soap wash by hand, and dry immediately. It will eventually corrode if left to air dry, or left dirty, or exposed to lengthy contact with salts, vinegar, citrus, and acid foods (like tomato, etc). Best to keep it clean and wash immediately after use.If you are thinking about keeping it on a magnetic cutlery block or holder, looks elsewhere. Otherwise, it’s a good spatula at a really good price.
