We fish (and hunt) a lot and anytime my kids get an opportunity to incorporate that with school, they do. While we will use these for crappie, bass, perch and perhaps even a walleye – they were purchased for my kindergartener’s (he has his own tackle bag full of lures) “100th Day of School” – requiring he bring 100 smaller items to count. To his dismay, kids were required to trade with another classmate for the counting activity. His classmate, a girl who doesn’t fish, also dismayed, declared “These are gross!” Only 6, but also having 5 older siblings, he’s already very experienced in parrying both physical and verbal jabs, retorted “Your mom is gross.” (He’s never seen or met the woman.) There are in fact 100 pieces, none of which came home ripped or torn, none were misshapen, the mould release agent wasn’t terribly overdone or messy. 5 stars for the price for the value considering the quantity and size plus the tray/box. 1 star deduction for being “Made in China”.
